OR 2014

Fedora Interest Group at OR2014

The Fedora Interest Group sessions at Open Repositories 2014 will be a great opportunity for Fedora users and developers to meet and share experiences with one another. New or prospective Fedora users will find many opportunities to learn more about the repository software from their peers within the open source community.

This year’s Fedora Interest Group track will showcase presentations, demonstrations, discussions, and project updates. Some of the central themes include:

  • Fedora 4 development
  • Building scalable, performant Fedora repositories
  • Using Fedora to support research data
  • Leveraging linked open data
  • Updates from the Hydra and Islandora communities

This is an exciting year for the Fedora community because Fedora 4 is scheduled to be released later this year. This new version of Fedora has been rebuilt from the ground up to be performant, scalable, and flexible to meet the needs of modern repositories. Learn more about the project by reading the wiki and join the Fedora Interest Group at Open Repositories to discuss Fedora 4 with the project developers and stakeholders.
